Amalgamation of Almond and Turmeric: The Health Drink that you can Trust

Golden Almond Turmeric Milk is an Indian drink that has been gaining popularity in Western cultures. This drink is not to be confused with basic almond milk made from soaked almonds blended with water.  Turmeric Milk is sometimes called “sunshine in a cup.”  It’s basically made with milk (any kind you like), turmeric, sweetener, and other flavorings as desired.  In addition to reducing inflammation, turmeric can also help improve mood/brain function, and boost the immune system.

Golden Almond Turmeric Milk is a very lightly sweetened drink (served warm or cold) made from low-fat or whole milk infused with almond paste, saffron, turmeric, cardamom, and a touch of sugar. It is then finished with some crushed pistachios for color and texture. This drink is beyond comforting and flavorful! The saffron and the cardamom are the star of this drink, and turmeric is a close second. It can help reduce the risk of cancer. Traditionally, turmeric milk (haldi doodh) comes from Ayurvedic practices and is prevalent in Indian culture and cuisines. In its simplest form, it’s a combination of warm milk and turmeric. Most traditional recipes will combine the turmeric with whole cow’s milk, but with our spin on this delicious original, you can substitute with any milk that suits your lifestyle best. Whether that be unsweetened almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk or any other milk you enjoy! You can also add additional components such as herbs, spices, and sweeteners to enhance the taste as well as the nutrient density after it’s been warmed through.

To make turmeric almond milk, add about 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, a dash of cinnamon, and a dash of sea salt or sugar into almond milk. Then just shake it up and you’re good to go!
